# AksharaTantra > AksharaTantra is a free, open-source set of small AI tools that run in the browser: OCR for 34+ languages (Sanskrit, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and other Indic scripts), handwriting reading, text to speech, a Sanskrit reader, poster and certificate makers, and Yuktai Grid, an accessible data grid you can ask questions in plain English.
